Due to my relationship status, I haven't exactly been able to watch all of the most recent "chick flicks." Andrew went on business trip so I decided to live it up and rent one. I chose, "Me Before You." To be honest, I chose it because the female lead (Lou Clark) is portrayed by Emilia Clarke who plays Khaleesi in the incredible HBO Series, Game of Thrones. It wasn't until I started watching the film that I realized many other familiar faces would grace me with their presence. The male lead (Will Traynor) was portrayed by Sam Claflin who you may recognize as Finnick from the Hunger Games series. Charles Dance makes an appearance as well which was pretty amazing. Charles plays Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones so it was pretty interesting to see him and Khaleesi laughing and smiling together being as they were enemies in GOT. Just when I thought there couldn't possibly be any more exciting appearances...here comes Neville Longbottom aka Matthew Lewis (Patrick). It's hard for me to give a review without giving anything away or letting any spoilers slip. I will say this...load up on the tissues before you watch it. I don't care who you are or how heartless you think you may be. You, my dear, WILL cry. He'd be mortified to see that I've written this but Andrew teared up a couple of times during the movie when I made him watch it. It's such a beautiful and unexpected love story. It was so invigorating to see someone who no matter what was thrown her way had the ability to remain kind and caring. It also reminded me that you really have no idea what will happen tomorrow so it's so truly important to cherish the time you have. It's crucial to live life as if tomorrow will be your last day on this Earth. Travel, fall in love, start a family. Do whatever makes YOU thrive. Love is such a beautiful thing and how heartbroken would you be if you loved someone and never had the chance to show them? Sure, our significant others may make us want to commit murder at times but name on relationship that was perfect. If somebody loves you...they will encourage you to follow your hopes and dreams and live your life to its full potential utilizing every talent and virtuous tendency you've been blessed with. This movie conveys this extremely well and I'd give it five stars for sure. Prepare for laughs, uncontrollable smiling and of course, the waterworks. Let me know your thoughts and what you've taken from the movie!
