Happy Friday, folks! Today, I am going to be sharing my go-to travel items with y'all. As always, each picture is linked to the featured item if you'd like one for yourself. I've done a lot of traveling in my lifetime both by myself and with my daughter so I am a pro when it comes to preparing and packing.
This bag is a godsend for quick trips! Mine is faux leather but I could not find my particular material or color. The price point for this bag is super affordable and it seriously makes traveling so easy. This bag fits under your seat (the seat in front of you) and there are multiple clear pockets for your toiletries etc. so all you have to do is un-zip your bag before going through TSA. No clear bags needed! There are so many useful pockets on this bag. The handle adjusts to multiple heights and it's easy to transport. You can roll it or carry it. I use this bag every single time I go on a short trip. I bought mine on Amazon and they have tons of different colors available.
It's absolutely crucial to have the right accessories for your phone when traveling. I have the Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones from Apple in rose gold as does my love and they are the BEST...especially for traveling. He flew all the way to Ireland and they barely lost any battery power. I use mine daily and it seems like I never charge them. They are advertised to last for 24 hours but they definitely last longer than that. I highly recommend these headphones. Also, they are gorgeous and come in a variety of colors.
Keeping your phone battery life in the green is important when traveling not only for convenience but also for safety. With that being said, this Mophie Powerstation in rose gold is my favorite external battery pack. The one I've shared with y'all is a rechargeable 6,000 mAh universal battery. It contains two USB ports so that you can charge any USB compatible devices including but not limited to your smart phone, headphones and smart watch.
I've had a ton of phone cases in my life and I can honestly say that the silicone case made by Apple is my favorite. LifeProof and Otterbox cases are great but they are so bulky! I've had the same luck with the Apple case and a good screen protector. They offer them for all models from the iPhone 6 - iPhone X including the plus sizes. I have it in black and pink sand but they are available in many other colors. They also offer the same case in leather for $10 more but I prefer the silicone.
While I'm not a huge fan of the bulkiness of the LifeProof case, I do own one and I do pack it for certain occasions. I have the LifeProof FRE case which is waterproof, snow proof and drop proof. This case is perfect for snowboarding, boating, swimming and going to the beach among other activities. It's a little pricey but totally worth it and it includes a warranty. I wasn't a big fan of PopSockets at first but I will admit that they are super useful for clumsy folk such as myself. I don't like to have one on my phone all the time so my solution was to have one phone case that has a PopSocket on it. PopSockets are great for traveling because you'll have the perfect grip on your phone and the chances of you dropping it are highly unlikely.
Cameras are fabulous but they can be such a pain to travel with. If you're going on a trip and want to take camera quality pictures but don't want to haul around your bulky camera and lenses, I would highly recommend purchasing these attachable lenses for your phone. I have this set and I love them! They are super affordable and convenient.
Most people like to travel with the MacBook Air because of its compact size. However, if you're like me and need all of the added bonuses of the MacBook Pro, you'd very much prefer to travel with that. The older MacBook Pro's were very heavy and bulky. The new ones, however, are not. They are lightweight and travel worthy. I have the 13" MacBook Pro in space gray and I love it so much. The Touch Bar and Touch ID login are incredible bonuses. I carry my MacBook in the 13" saffiano laptop bag from Kate Spade. I've had many laptop bags in my days and this one takes the cake. It is leather and very durable. This bag fits my MacBook, my iPad mini, my planner and many other things. It has tons of interior pockets. It's priced at $298 but honestly, it's worth every penny. You can get 15% off if you sign up for Kate Spade's newsletter! The last electronic device I highly advise that you travel with is the Apple Watch. The Series 3 watch includes GPS and cellular but the Series 1 and 2 do not. I wear my Apple Watch every day but it's so great for traveling. You can receive your notifications on it and your daily activity is recorded. There are many other features that will blow your mind.
It's no secret that I'm a bit of a neat freak and germaphobe. With that being said, I don't think I need to say anything about the lysol spray, lysol wipes, tissues or airborne. Ear plugs are essential for traveling and the carrying cases are always nice. ALWAYS have allergy meds in your carry on because you literally never know! If you are prescribed ambien and or Xanax, I would recommend bringing both. If the travel time is really long, I'd take an ambien. If it's a decent amount of time, I would just take a Xanax. These are also good for after a day of traveling if you just want to sleep and get used to whatever time zone you're traveling to.
